Here's a fantastic comment we received from Ann after her kayak vacation last August, her second Vancouver Island Kayak tour.

Scott, As we spoke earlier I can't thank you enough for being the facilitator in what truly has to be the best or at at least one of the best holidays of my life. I only say one as my husband is not here and I wish he could have experienced the wonders of British Columbia nature first hand.

I had two wonderful but very different kayak trips. The first to the Broken Island Group and the second up here in Port Mc Neil. I enjoyed both for different reasons. Different geographies. Wildlife and also fellow travellers on the trip but both wonderfully well organised and the natural beauty of this place speaks for itself.

I have to say what stands out for me is the incredible BC training of the sea kayak guides which is very consistent throughout the island and they truly cope with a lot. Different clients of different abililites and they remain jovial. Confidence inspiring and knowledgeable and they all can cook better than most people I know in central London with all mod cons.

The wildlife speaks for itself. I felt privileged and lucky to be close to a beautiful hump back whale one day and a group of sweet trusting harbour seals the next. Both equally enjoyable and seeing them so close and curious rather than threatening is truly awesome and humbling.

Anyone who has never kayaked or been to Vancouver Island is missing out on life and needs to get here for at least 10 days.

Ann
Sent from Blackberry

While there is a bit of a stretch of winter creeping up, in not so many months summer will again reign supreme on Vancouver Island. On the "Island", peak kayak season is from mid-July to the first week in August. This means almost all of our regular departures have filled up (we limit our groups to 8) and people who have waited a little longer to book are anxiously waiting for our word on cancellations. Sometimes we can deliver, sometimes we can’t.

Please don’t let this be you! Whether you’re booking for yourself or for a group, please book early for the summer of 2012. While we take a 20% deposit, we don’t take the balance of your payment until 60 days out. Thus you can relax, knowing your kayak seat is safe and a great vacation is not far off.
