Day
1We would like to meet you the day before the tour departure to issue your dry bags for packing your clothes and n try on the kayaking gear. Let us know what time you will arrive in Ucluelet and where you will be staying that night. Day 1, we meet at 8:30 am. We travel together to Tofino which is where we launch our kayaks for the trip into Clayoquot Sound. You can drive your own vehicle or catch a ride with us. Parking is safe, abundant and free near our office in Ucluelet. In Tofino at the beach, we unload our equipment and start packing the kayaks. We will offer packing tips to those that require them. After an equipment orientation, lessons and a safety talk, we will begin paddling. Our arrival time at our campsite for the 1st night will depend on the physical ability of the group and weather/sea conditions. Upon arrival, we set up our camp. Sometimes we keep our camp in one location for a few days and do day-trips from the site, other times we may choose to move the camp frequently during the trip.
